I'm not sure if I should be doing this but I really need help with my build. I'm trying to make a PVP build. After doing some reading in this forums, I did some tinkering on my own, this is what I have.

Scythe Mastery: 12+3+1
Mysticism 10 + 2
Earth Prayer: 8 + 1

[skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Wounding Strike[/skill][skill]Chilling Victory[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill][skill]Conviction[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill]

1vs1 is NOT pvp.

i'm not even going to comment on those kind of builds..it's just dumb. :/

1v1 builds are always epic fail. There's nothing worse than people who complain about getting "ganged" in 4v4 or 8v8. It's not possible to make one build to beat all classes and skills, and trying to do so will just hurt you (how are you going to deal with having all your enchantments stripped? Blindness? Cripple? What about removing other people's enchantments?)

Chilling victory and faithful intervention aren't that hot for pvp. Vital boon loses a *lot* of healing power without a self rending skill. Mystic sweep's 0.75 cast time loses some of it's advantage with heart of fury. Some people would have a problem with sup+major rune for pvp.

Thanks for the input MrFuzzles I'll give it another go and see what I come up with.

The reason why I'm putting this build together is because I 1v1....a lot.

may be u wanna include this instead for spike healing and energy management :

if u do 1v1 u need condition removal, dismiss condition comes to mind as u already have tons of enchantments.
also ditch faithful intervention for something more useful
oh and swap Chilling Victory with Victorious Sweep, so much better...
oh and for 1v1 Reaper's Sweep>Wounding Strike
the main advantage of Wounding is that u can cause deep wound on many targets at once, in 1v1 u dont need that and extra damage is always useful...

If you are in a guild, and you have a guild hall, then you can do scrimmages vs other players in the guild or guests

1) What do you call it then player vs enviroment?

2) Not going to comment? sorry you just did.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean others don't enjoy it. And it certainly doesnt make it right or wrong. Its in the game deal with it.

neither are solo farmers or H&H lovers...
only difference is that its non team play in PvP, kinda reminds me of Diablo's PvP environement
ANet created hero battles and scrimmages for a reason, whether you or I for that matter understand that reason or not is irrelevant, the fact is that it exists, and thus people play it and even enjoy it to your amazement apparantly.
call them noobs, call them egocentric, call them whatever you want, they're still part of the gw community whether you, I or anybody else likes it or not...

I like to 1v1 sometimes just to mess around but I use a blindbot build for ele.
Also your build looks kinda like the start of a tanking build but it needs a self rending skill for [skill]Vital Boon[/skill]

no, this didn't "become" anything, look at the OP, it's neither PvP nor PvE, it's purely 1vs1 scrimmages..

Farming builds are judged completely differently to a general use build.

That was completely random.

Scrimmages are generally for testing builds, or testing how well you can gank base NPC's, not for showing how leet you are with your riposte build.

I've always seen "1v1" as either:

1. Something Wammos do in Alliance Battles when one needs to feel superior. Sort of like rutting season.

2. Something Sins do when they see someone alone in Alliance Battles (such as running back to their group from a Res Point). They always think "I'm havin' you 1v1"...and activate their shadowstep and press keys 1,2,3,4,5...

In my opinion, a build should concentrate on working well as part of a team, whilst being able to protect oneself from "surprise" 1v1 attacks...but that shouldn't be the primary focus of the build. I always try to plan against the inevitable cocky assassin, but not taking my mind off what my build is primarily trying to achieve

1v1 really isn't something you create builds for anyway, it's a guessing game where you try to figure out what the other person is bringing. Once you know that, it's child's play to bring the exact counter to their build. It's sort of a high graphics version of rock paper scissors.
